宁可去拾取粪土上的花朵，
也不要攀折园圃中的柳枝。
人间的感情越来越淡薄险恶，
人心的转变往往就在回头一瞥之间。
众人纷纷苦苦相互攻击，
可当初他们曾是挽臂结盟的挚友。
阴险的计谋多招致鬼魅般的灾祸，
像这样的情况怎么能长久呢？
巧言如南天的箕星般煽动不息，
而确定的记录则像北斗星一样高悬不移。
豺狼虎豹纵然不屑于去吃，
也会让乌鸦去啄食他的口。

Better to pick flowers from the dung heap's crest,
Than to break the willow branch within the garden's rest.
Human feelings grow ever more shallow and mean,
A change of heart can be seen in a glance, unforeseen.
In a flurry of bitter strife, they attack one another,
Though once they were sworn friends, arm in arm like a brother.
Dark schemes breed many a ghostly calamity,
How can such a state endure for long, tell me?
Artful words fly like the Winnowing Fan in the southern sky,
While fixed records hang like the Dipper, steadfast and high.
Though jackals and tigers may not deign to feed,
Yet crows will peck at the mouth, fulfilling the dark deed.
