Joyful news arrives on a fragrant carriage;
I long to prepare the wine jug with courage.
When inspiration comes, we sing in reply;
Our ears grow hot with our own songs, soaring high.
Now is the time to discuss the breeze and moon;
Why must we compare who is wise or a buffoon?
I now halt my carriage, seeking rest at last;
No more to ask the wayfarer about the past.
