计算它的数量多如丘山,论匹计量。
哪里知道骄奢的君主,
在结绮阁中纵情游乐安逸。
剪裁彩绸装饰满园林木,
光彩艳丽胜过风和日丽。
按道理应当招致败亡,
这种行径是上天所憎恶的。
礼经重视亲自养蚕,
知道每一缕丝都来之不易。
大禹厌恶华美的衣服,
仁爱俭朴源于圣人的本质。
我本出生于农家,
蚕桑纺织曾经深入探究熟悉。
从不以穿旧絮袍为耻,
求得一份温暖,心愿就已完毕。
Silkworms transform, a divine feat,
Then spin their cocoons, a chamber complete.
Born from the dawn of the Five Emperors' reign,
Their life's work ends after three risings' pain.
Benefiting others, they first meet the pot;
For self-preservation, they have no plot.
Their silk clothes the world, far and wide,
Yet counted in bales, like hills, they hide.
How could the lavish lords ever know,
In silken towers, they idly go?
They cut bright silks to adorn the garden scene,
Gleaming in sun and wind, a dazzling sheen.
Such waste invites ruin, as reason decrees,
A path that Heaven itself will displease.
The Rites honor sericulture, a thread's true source,
Each strand reminds us of its humble course.
Great Yu despised fine robes, his nature plain,
His thrift and kindness from a sage's vein.
I was born of farming folk, I know well
The ways of silk and loom, as stories tell.
I never felt shame in a patched robe, worn thin,
One warmth fulfilled, my wish is held within.
