我平生如同嵇康，有七种不堪忍受的性情，
在这纷扰尘世中，时常与燕子相伴闲谈。
一位道士有神通，传授给我火枣，
老朋友没有书信寄来，已隐入云天的蔚蓝。
雨中微凉，竹叶正适宜对饮三杯，
日落时分，荷花倚靠着，仿佛半醉微酣。
我极想驾一叶扁舟，向南方的湖荡漂去，
那儿的冷鸥与轻燕，大概与我略略相熟。

All my life, like Ji Kang, I've borne seven unbearable traits,
In this dusty world, I often chat with swallows, my mates.
A Taoist priest, with divine power, passed me fire dates;
An old friend, without a word, entered the azure sky's gates.
In cool rain, bamboo leaves invite three cups of wine to share,
As sunset falls, lotus flowers lean, half-drunk, without a care.
I long to sail my small boat southward, to wander free,
Where cold gulls and light swallows somewhat know and welcome me.
