重阳节到来，令我伤心不已。
蓬草在秋日将尽时惊飞，
菊花再次绽放，却已不是在故园的篱笆。
楚国曾图谋夺取周朝的九鼎，
商汤尚且攻击夏桀的瑶台。
东篱边，那一次醉饮在何处？
积尘的酒杯，羞对着空空如也的酒罍。

My heart aches as the Double Ninth arrives once more.
The tumbleweed is startled by the autumn's late sun,
Chrysanthemums bloom anew, but not in my homeland's door.
Chu once coveted the Zhou's sacred tripod,
And Tang still struck at Xia's terrace, a bold deed.
By the eastern fence, where is that one drunken bout?
The dusty cup shames the empty vessel, without a doubt.
