地势平坦开阔之处，山峰容易拔地而起，
因此这座巍峨的山峰矗立在汉水和沔水之间。
云雾翻涌而来，看不见下方的地界，
楼台仿佛漂浮起来，悬在天空中央。
推开窗户，时常能见到雷霆出现，
靠着几案闲坐，我观看日月的往复。
更有那钟声最是惹人愁恨，
南风不时将它吹送到八座皇陵的旁边。

Where the land lies flat and broad, a mountain easily rises,
Thus stands this lofty peak between the Han and Mian rivers.
Clouds and mists surge forth, with no lower realm in sight,
Towers and pavilions float aloft, suspended in mid-heaven.
Opening the window, one may see thunder and lightning emerge,
Leaning on the desk at leisure, I watch the sun and moon return.
Yet more vexing are the bell's chimes,
Carried by the south wind at times to the Eight Imperial Mounds.
