客居他乡，岁末出行并非为了远游，
河水无情，日夜不停地奔流。
去年堤岸溃决，洪水淹向东郡，
朝廷下诏，迫使黄河改道流回此州。
回忆昔日冬天行走在河桥之上，
千里飞雪，冰层曾那样厚重雄壮。
人们说黄河源头已冻彻天际，
冰底之下，却仍能听到沸腾的惊涛骇浪。

A traveler in late years, this is no distant roam,
The heartless river flows by night and day.
Last year, its banks were breached to flood the eastern plain,
By royal decree, its course was turned back this way.
I recall crossing its bridge in winter past,
When flying snow stretched miles and ice stood vast.
Men said its source was frozen to the sky,
Yet beneath the ice, a boiling surge roared by.
