向来五星聚,奎躔遂华敷。
南北起周召,东西拟欧苏。
岂惟一时盛,万世垂楷模。
我虽季世产,闻道端不诬。
岂有苍精剑,铸自烧叶炉。
岂有轩辕鼎,散入蛮娘沽。
久幽世或有,速售理则无。
夕阳淡茅坞,荒烟正模糊。

奎宿的轨迹于是让文采华美铺展。
南北涌现了周公、召公那样的贤臣,
东西可媲美欧阳修、苏轼那样的文豪。
这岂只是一时的兴盛,
更是万世流传的楷模。
我虽然生在衰微的末世,
但听闻的道理确实不虚。
哪有那苍精宝剑,
是从烧树叶的炉子里铸造出来的?
哪有那轩辕宝鼎,
会流散到蛮族女子手中去买卖?
宝物长久埋没,世间或许还有,
急于求售,按道理则绝无可能。
夕阳淡淡地照在茅屋上,
荒野的烟霭正一片迷蒙。

Must align with order's rise or chaos's death.
Who knew that the late Zhou's decline, so forlorn,
Still surpassed the First Qin Emperor's early morn?
Once the five stars converged in a celestial sign,
The Milky Way's path made culture brightly shine.
North and south gave rise to Zhou and Shao, wise and grand,
East and west could match Ou and Su across the land.
Not merely a glory for their own age to keep,
But models for ten thousand ages, vast and deep.
Though I was born in an era of decay,
I've heard the truth—it will not lead astray.
How could a sword of azure essence, pure and keen,
Be forged within a leaf-burning stove, mean?
How could the Tripod of Xuanyuan, august and old,
Be scattered to barbarian maids and sold?
Long hidden, such treasures may yet come to light;
Quick sale—by reason, this is never right.
The setting sun pales o'er the thatched hut's lonely scene,
Where desolate mist is thickening, dim and serene.
