藤蔓的花朵攀上稀疏的竹子，
长满青苔的石头卧在荒芜的篱笆旁。
提着酒壶，童仆去买酒，
客人敲门送来诗篇。
年老惭愧于生计笨拙，
忙忙碌碌又是为了什么呢？

I built my hut to dwell by the mountain side,
Secluded windows suit the quiet, far and wide.
Wisteria blooms climb up the sparse bamboo,
Mossy stones recline by the rustic fence in view.
Carrying a wine jug, my lad goes to buy wine,
A guest knocks at the door, bringing verses fine.
Old now, ashamed my livelihood is poor and slight,
Why toil and strive in this endless plight?
