在这水乡泽国，我凄凉地居住，
秋夜里，我恣意地沉眠。
归去的云彩还带着雨意，
西沉的月亮忽然照亮了船舷。
国家的安定需要长远的谋划，
我的胡须鬓发已临近晚年。
在离乱中漂泊，居无定所，
一家百口的生计都托付给这漂浮的田地。

In this watery land I dwell in desolation,
On autumn nights I sleep in careless dissipation.
Returning clouds still carry with them rain,
The sinking moon suddenly lights the boat again.
For the state, long-term plans are what we need;
My beard and hair show my declining years indeed.

My whole family's fate is entrusted to floating fields left behind.
