人们说它的飞翔与鸣叫预示着道路的分歧。
它常常在静谧中陪伴振翅的白鹭，
也曾从高处望见那远去的凤凰。
众人都知晓它的鸣声能上达天听，
真让人羡慕它在风中梳理羽毛的仪态。
愿它能适时跟随行进的队伍而去，
在《韶》乐中起舞，自会有美好的时辰。

The immortal crane flew west past the ageless boughs,
People say its cry and flight mark a parting of ways.
Often in stillness, it kept company with the egret's rise,
And once, from a height, it glimpsed the phoenix's distant skies.
All know its voice is heard in the celestial sphere,
One can but envy how it preens its plumes in the wind here.
May it follow the retinue in good time and grace,
To dance to the Shao music in its own glorious space.
