天下诸侯渐渐怠慢了对周朝的朝见，
君王的德泽如瑶水般流淌消散。
一旦他试图问鼎，觊觎天子之位，
便驾车千里，骏马载他返还故地。
故国再也没有回归之日，
这丛林中的祠庙已历经多少春秋变换。
众多的子孙后代在此庆祝祭祀，
他伟大的功业在于仁爱和柔韧。

The king's jade-like virtue flowed with the river.
Once he dared to question the sacred tripod's claim,
A thousand li he rode back, his steed swift and tame.
