鸡和猪有食吃，长得肥壮，
经霜的梨和栗子已然熟透。
牧童唱着田间的歌谣，
孩童在宰杀祭祀用的社肉。
乡野老人醉了也放声歌唱，
喜爱这羲皇时代般的淳朴风俗。

With sickles bent, they reap the fresh grain's charm.
Well-fed are chickens and pigs, plump and round,
Pears and chestnuts sweetened by frost abound.
A shepherd boy sings a rustic song,

The old man, drunk, also chants with delight,
Loving this age-old, simple way of life so bright.
