安于平易的人能够涵养内敛的气质，
探寻幽境后又修建了这座亭子。
姑且舀取泉水之花（指清泉）自饮，
涧水的声响又能与谁一同聆听？
行走时，圆形的桧树如同依傍着伞盖，
静坐时，前方的山峰正对着如屏风。
一瓢之饮便足以体现我的道，
在这清凉的月色下，我忘却了形骸。

A man of ease can hide his vital breath,
He built this lodge to probe the depth of the glen.
He scoops the spring's fresh bloom to quench his thirst,
But with whom can he share the valley's murmuring tune?
Round junipers spread their canopy as he walks,
The front peak sits like a screen before his gaze.
My way is but a gourd ladle, simple and true,
In the cool moonlight, I lose myself in this view.
