关隘与河流在北风中景象凄惨。
中原的残阳余晖之外，
故国只在梦魂萦绕之中。
往事已随流水逝去，
余生感叹自己如飘转的蓬草。
对着唾壶悲歌尚未停歇，
只见飞雁落入空旷的江天。

The passes and rivers grieve in the northern blast.
Beyond the central plains' lingering sunset light,
In dreams my soul revisits the homeland past.
All bygone deeds have flowed away with the stream,
My remaining years sigh like a rolling tumbleweed.
The song of the spittoon has not yet ceased to ring,
As wild geese descend to the empty river, freed.
