云朵依恋山石的情意虽然长久，
但它化作甘霖的心意又是如何呢？
倘若天心能够赏识并任用它的才能，
那幺所需的风力也就不必太多。
它清冷湿润了清晨的仙家洞府，
它的寒意笼罩着夜宿鸟儿的巢窠。
最终它得以飞扬直上，找到自己的道路，
还曾进入汉皇的诗歌，被千古传唱。

Though long it clings to rocks with deep affection,
How does it yearn to shower the earth with rain?
If Heaven's heart would grant it its direction,
The driving wind would need not much to gain.
It dampens morning caves where fairies dwell,
And chills the nests where birds at night repose.
At last it soars aloft, its path to tell,
And in the songs of Han, its glory glows.
