喜鹊在庭院的柏树上喧闹地鸣叫，
晨光从缝隙间透射进来。
担任祠官的职务后谢绝了其他杂事，
仰面躺卧，全身的骨骼都感到舒适。
回想那些在朝廷和市井中奔走的人，
无论地位高低，各自都有劳役在身。
他们忙忙碌碌终究走向生命的尽头，
万古以来，所有人的踪迹都归于同一。
而我却变得慵懒散漫，
兴致与意味实在不算浓厚。
富贵并非我所羡慕的东西，
若能实现（闲适的）这个愿望，或许便有所收获。

Magpies chatter in the courtyard cypress, clamorous and loud,
Morning light steals in through the cracks, a slender, golden shroud.
The temple officer, freed from duties, takes his rest,
Lying back, his hundred bones find comfort, truly blessed.
I think of those in court and market, bustling through the day,
Each, great or small, has their own role, their own appointed way.
Yet all their striving ends the same, in dust they must descend,
For ten thousand ages share one trail, where all paths meet and end.
But I have grown so idle and so lax, without a care,
My zest for life feels far from full, a flavor thin and bare.
Wealth and honor hold no charm for me, I do not yearn or pine,
If I can gain this wish of mine, then truly I'll be fine.
