天逈云收霁色空，乔林还遶寺当中。

tiān jiǒng yún shōu jì sè kōng， qiáo lín huán rǎo sì dāng zhōng。

阴森小径千重竹，萧飒虚亭四面风。

yīn sēn xiǎo jìng qiān chóng zhú， xiāo sà xū tíng sì miàn fēng。

白话文翻译

天空高远，云收雨霁，晴空一片澄澈；

高大的林木依然环绕在寺庙的中央。

幽暗的小径旁生长着层层叠叠的竹子；

空寂的亭子四面吹来萧瑟的秋风。

暮霭没有升起，山峦仿佛抹上了一层青黑的黛色；

夕阳西下，水流映照着红色的余晖。

我自愧性格怯懦，却承蒙（此地）的庇护；

如何才能让百姓称赞我（有几分用处），像几寸青葱一样呢？

The sky stretches far, clouds clear, the azure hue is pure;

Tall woods still encircle the temple at the core.

A thousand layers of bamboo shade the secluded path;

The desolate empty pavilion feels the wind from all sides.

Evening haze does not rise, the hills are touched with dark green;

The setting sun sinks west, the water flows with crimson light.

I feel ashamed of my own timidity, sheltered under this grace;

How can I make the people praise me as a few inches of green onion?
