告别了千山与万山，
平坦的道路引领我回到故乡的关隘。
边疆的忧患未减，我仍惦念着夙兴夜寐的国事；
乡里的人们却只夸耀我衣锦还乡的荣光。
心忧国事，岂敢忘记日复一日的思虑？
想要修养自身，又能得到几时的闲暇？
遥想那上坟祭祖、光耀门楣的地方，
不过就在州城三十里之外。

Leaving behind a thousand mountains and ten thousand more,
A smooth road now leads me home to my familiar door.
At the frontier, my thoughts of night-robed toil never cease;
In my hometown, they only praise my splendid return in peace.
How dare I forget the state's worries, a daily care?
To tend my own life, when can I find a moment spare?
From afar, I know the glory of the ancestral rite,
Lies just thirty li away, within the city's sight.
