清晨进入吴儿谷中，
险峻的道路确实名不虚传。
千座山峰仿佛阻绝了前路，
一条小径却可俯身容纳车马通行。
山鸟飞越云层，似在交谈，
农夫在半山腰处锄地耕作。
时世太平，处处都是平坦大道，
天生的险阻又能有什么作用呢？

At dawn I entered the valley of Wu folk
The perilous path indeed proves no false talk.
A thousand peaks seem to block the way ahead,
Yet a single trail lets my carriage be led.
Mountain birds chatter past clouds in their flight,
Farmers half up the ridge till with might.
In times of peace, all roads are safe and sound,
What use then for nature's fortress profound?
