我独自站立，看着流水，
草木相互依偎，彼此凭依。
清澈迂回的滩声悠长不绝，
碧绿沉静的波影缓缓推移。
人生到了老年应当收敛心性，
但心中所想与口中常言却总相违。
啼叫的禽鸟忽然飞来，
夏日的生机，此刻便是如此。

Alone I stand and watch the flowing stream,
Where grass and trees rely on one another's gleam.
Clear and winding, the rapids' sound extends so long,
Green and deep, the wave's reflection lingers along.
In old age, one's life should gather and withdraw,
Yet heart and words often contradict what they saw.
A singing bird suddenly comes flying near,
The summer air, as now, is present here.
