月亮临近中秋时分显得格外美好，
人们怎能不为此景触动情怀？
哪知道云层忽然带来暮色笼罩，
骤然化作连绵夜雨直到天明。
月亮的圆缺我平常都淡然观看，
但天气的阴晴变化却让年老的我暗自心惊。
夜晚寒凉，山中树叶沙沙作响，
灯火在长短不一的灯架上摇曳明灭。

The moon is lovely as Mid-Autumn draws near,
How can one not be moved by such a sight?
Who would have known the clouds would bring the dusk so drear,
And swiftly turn to rain that lasts throughout the night?
Its wax and wane I watch with a detached eye,
Yet changes in the weather startle me as I grow old.
The mountain leaves rustle in the cool night's sigh,
The lamp's flame flickers, long and short, against the cold.
