香气萦绕在椽木与烛火间，新燃的烟缕飘散，
宫门幽深，御道边一片沉寂。
初次拜受赏赐，众人分擎着珍贵的蜡烛，
身着锦衣的官员快步如飞，争相传宣旨意。
柳树的荫翳在破晓前照亮了梳妆的明镜，
花香笼罩着晴光，趁势透入卷起的帘栊。
莫要因这荒凉景象而诧异，询问榆柳取火之事，
午间的炊煮，还在等待那死灰复燃。

Incense drifts from rafters, candles disperse fresh smoke,
By the deep, silent palace road where royal carriages pass.
Precious tapers, newly bestowed, are held aloft in homage,
Silk-robed officials race on foot to proclaim the decree.
Willow shade, before dawn, brightens the dressing mirror,
Flower scent, veiled in sunlight, follows the rolling blinds.
Do not wonder at this desolation, asking for elm-wood fire,
The noon meal still awaits the kindling of dead ashes.
