Through this, that sound is known.
Mountains and rivers lie serene and distant;
Heaven and earth are also clear and tranquil.
Alone, I play the tune on an empty zither;
Harmonizing, the melody easily takes form.
How could a vulgar man appreciate it?
It should rather startle this old man.
