公正之心不会偏照两面，
私人的欲望必定四处扩散。
在履行官职、执行法令的过程中，
关键是要以自身为准则。
对待事物或许会设置藩篱，
处理事务却只依赖文书刀笔。
自古以来，尊贵者看重仁德贤能，
保有它们的关键在于永不丧失。
这一句话的内涵多幺丰富啊，
于是将它题写在这间书房的墙壁上。
通过利益可以获得践行道义的机会，
追求名声怎能忘记实质？
您啊，是诗中的仙人，
我的话并非什幺秘密。
再三感叹那幕府之地，
公务之余，仍有学问可钻研。

A public heart does not shine on both sides,
Private desires inevitably spread in all directions.
In the execution of official duties and the law,
One must take one's own person as the rule.
Things may be hedged with barriers,
Affairs are often handled with the scribe's pen.
Since ancient times, the noble value the benevolent and worthy,
Preserving them lies in never letting them slip away.
How rich is this single saying,
That it is inscribed upon this study's wall.
Through benefit, one may practice righteousness;
Pursuing fame, how could one forget the substance?
You, sir, are an immortal among poets,
My words hold no secret.
With a triple sigh for the lotus-curtained place,
After official meals, there is the pursuit of learning.
