在灯下的窗前唯有刻苦钻研，
编纂文集，反复推敲琢磨。
你这北来的客人也能如此，
但南下游历的事情却与此不同。
我常常思慕那博大的文献传统，
那古人的风范与先贤的道路。

A study of modest size, I've found a place to dwell,
And moved my home to the eastern part of town.
By lamplight at the window, I toil alone,
Polishing my writings, honing every line.
A northern guest, you too can live this way,
But southern travels tell a different tale.
I often think of the great literary heritage,
The ancient way, the noble spirit of our forebears.
