雨水丰沛，溪流上涨，
云层厚重，日光隐藏在山后。
自然景物固然完好无损，
但人情终究是平淡寻常。
年老之后，我只喜爱有客来访；
或许只是与茶点瓜果有些关联。

Why so urgent, the cuckoo's call?
It flits and sings among the slender bamboos.
Abundant rain has swollen the stream's flow,
Thick clouds conceal the sun behind the hills.
The scenery remains, unharmed and fair,
Yet human feelings drift, indifferent and light.
In my old age, I cherish only guests;
Perhaps some tea and fruit are all we share.
