The scholar's cap, as in days of yore,
Our noble Way has not declined.
After all, the ancient ways endure,
Though they are not in fashion now.
To wear a flowered pin is no disgrace,
To strain the wine is still a worthy deed.
Too lazy to look in the bronze mirror's face,
My heart grieves for the frost on both temples indeed.
