渐渐生出两三根白发。
孩童劝我不要去拔除，
徒然博得一个年老成名的虚名。

My grand ambition remains unfulfilled,
While the bronze mirror reflects a clear sight.
Frost and stars startle, invading my temples,
Heaven and earth seem heartless in their might.
Just approaching the age of fifty years,
Gradually, a few silver strands appear.
Children advise me not to pluck them out,
Vainly gaining the fame of growing old here.
