草木与烟云都染上了满眼的秋色，
长长的河流与横亘的山岭一同显得悠远无际。
想要归去却未能成行，登高望远时心生怯意，
与世俗相违背，一举一动都满怀愁绪。
相隔万里，没有鸿雁带来书信音讯，
一生心事重重，只能倚靠着高楼栏杆。
西风早晚会催促我启程赶路，
那时我将去往青衣江上漫游。

Mist and cloud veil the trees and grass in autumn's hue,
The long river and the ridge stretch far, serene and true.
I seek my way back, yet fear to climb the height alone,
At odds with the world, I'm burdened by grief, my own.
No wild goose brings word from afar, a thousand miles away,
A lifetime of cares weighs on me as by the tower I stay.
The west wind, sooner or later, will urge my journey's start,
Then I'll wander along the banks of the Qingyi, heart to heart.
