万般触碰，水流曲折回环。
游子真是亡命奔逃之人，
忠臣自然要厚着脸面。
舍弃舟船，踏上险途，
平坦之地，何时才能回还？

At the mountain's end, a foolish, stubborn place,
Where Dongyang's rocks in combat interlace.
The boat is tossed, time and again it sways,
Ten thousand touches make the water's maze.
A wanderer truly risks his life in flight,
A loyal minister must bear a face of might.
Abandoning the boat, the perilous road I take,
When shall I return to the level ground, for heaven's sake?
