自合林泉着散仙，虎蛟在处卧山渊。

zì hé lín quán zhe sǎn xiān， hǔ jiāo zài chù wò shān yuān。

未秋已拟偿新谷，计月先愁欠子钱。

白话文翻译

我本应归隐林泉，做一个散淡的仙人，

在虎蛟出没的深山幽谷中栖身安眠。

还未到秋天，就已打算偿还新谷的债务，

计算着月份，先为欠下的利息发愁。

冷眼旁观，早已看惯平地上的险恶，

世情淡薄，谁还会念及死灰复燃的可能？

人生之中总还有再度相逢的机缘，

就像昨日淮阴侯召见那位少年。

Naturally suited to woods and springs, a carefree immortal I'd be,

Where tigers and flood-dragons dwell, I'd lie in mountain abyss free.

Before autumn comes, I've planned to repay the new grain's debt,

Counting the months, I first worry about the interest I owe yet.

With a cold eye, I'm used to watching dangers on level ground,

Who, heartless, would remember ashes that once with fire were crowned?

In life, there still are places where we may meet again,

As yesterday in Huaiyin, a youth was summoned then.
