荒凉的山崖传说有猛虎出没，
他却手持锡杖径直登上了险峻的山路。
衣裳是用枯槁的槲树叶缝缀而成，
食物是咀嚼松树的嫩枝。
病人前来求取他念过咒语的神水，
村中的老者施舍了一块地作为他庵堂的基址。
然而就在某一夜，不知因为什幺缘故，
他飘然离去，不知所终。

A wild cliff is said to harbor a tiger,
Yet with flying staff, he ascends the perilous path.
His robe, stitched from dried oak leaves,
His meal, the tender shoots of pines he chews.
The sick come seeking his incanted water,
A villager offers the site for his humble hut.
But in a single night, for what cause,
He vanished, drifting away to none knows where.
