甲申年仲春的二十六日夜晚，
这样的怪事怎能没有诗史来记载？
星斗横陈在九霄云外，
风雷鼎沸，已过一更时分。
冰雹击打瓦片的声音仿佛都要将它们击碎，
闪电穿过帷帐，光影恍惚似真似虚。
明日麦苗将被摧折，桃李树木也会倒伏，
更令人心惊的是，园中蔬菜连叶子都没剩下。

On the twenty-sixth night of mid-spring in the year Jiashen,
Should such a strange event go unrecorded in poetic history?
The stars and constellations lay scattered across the nine heavens,
While wind and thunder roared and boiled past the first watch.
The sound of hail striking tiles seemed to shatter them all,
The flash of lightning through the curtains felt eerily unreal.
Tomorrow, wheat will be crushed, peach and plum trees laid low,
And to my greater shock, not a leaf remains on the garden vegetables.
