践行蹈海的誓言，
忧天的志向却未能伸张。
竟没有一捧黄土，
君臣葬身于鱼腹之中。

Yet such a man appears at last.
Hand in hand, through dragon's veil they go,
Together in the mermaid's realm they sink below.
To leap into the sea, his word he kept;
To grieve for heaven's woe, his will unwept.
Not e'en a mound of earth was left behind,
In fishes' bellies, lord and servant lie enshrined.
