茂密逾千树，深幽仅一家。

mào mì yú qiān shù， shēn yōu jǐn yī jiā。

新蝉初蜕壳，穉菊始分桠。

xīn chán chū tuì ké， zhì jú shǐ fēn yā。

润气青阴石，晴光白湿沙。

白话文翻译

草木茂密，超过了千棵树木，

环境深幽，只居住着一户人家。

新生的蝉刚刚蜕去外壳，

幼嫩的菊花开始分出枝桠。

湿润的空气让青石蒙上绿荫，

晴朗的阳光照得湿沙泛着白光。

晚凉时分，催促着管理园圃的老者，

添种竹子，来牵引篱笆边的瓜藤。

Lush and dense, a thousand trees thrive,

Deep and secluded, a single household resides.

A newborn cicada sheds its shell, alive,

Young chrysanthemums begin to branch at their sides.

Moist air greens the shade on the stones,

Sunlight whitens the damp sand it bides.

Evening cool urges the old gardener to atone,

Adding bamboo to guide the vine where the fence hides.
