昔日在中岩留下的梦境已残，
下岩的风景也同样高远清寒。
峡谷中没有一处可以停泊船只，
雨后的今晨我才得以凭栏远视。
不必苦苦祈求佛陀瑞相的显现，
只让这水帘长久悬挂供我观看。
山中的僧人劝我在苍壁上题字，
想到苏东坡、黄山谷在前，我不敢刊刻自己的文字。

A dream of Mid-Crag long ago left its trace,
The Lower Crag's scene is lofty and chill in its grace.
No place in the gorge allows a boat to stay,
Only after the rain, this morn, I lean on the rail to survey.
No need to seek the Buddha's auspicious sign with pain,
Just let the water screen hang long for me to watch again.
The mountain monk urges me to inscribe the dark wall,
Yet I dare not, with Su and Huang's names standing tall.
