在巫山县城借了一匹马，
驾着小船绕过险滩中的礁石。
梅子在晨雨中变得饱满，
茶树在暮霭寒烟中显得苍老。
门户正对着高唐观耸立，
长江从滟滪堆流过十分艰险。
那湍流中的礁石堆高三尺依然存在，
而旅途中的我只求一枝栖身，梦境安宁。

I borrowed a horse in Wushan County town,
And rowed a boat through the rapids where rocks abound.
Plums grow plump in the morning's drizzling rain;
Tea leaves age 'neath the evening's chilly misty chain.
My door faces the peak where the Gaotang Temple stands,
The river flows past Yanyu Rock with great demands.
The flowing heap, three feet high, still remains there,
Yet in my travels, a single branch brings dreams fair.
