我昔为州坐两载，吏鞅束缚马就羁。
咫尺名山不可到，抱恨常若有所遗。
兹游得遂偿素愿，况有文字古一夔。
周遭岩壑寻胜迹，摩挲石刻立多时。
野僧半解知人意，满卮笑岘酒一杯。

白话文翻译
浯溪的一座孤峰直插云霄，高与天齐，
上面立着记载唐朝中兴功业的碑文。
唐肃宗的功勋事业愈发显赫辉煌，
而元结（次山）撰写的文字真是峻拔奇崛。
我从前在此地担任知州，任职整整两年，
却被官场事务束缚，如同马匹套上了羁绊。
与这座名山近在咫尺，却始终无法前往，
心中常怀遗憾，仿佛总有什么未能如愿。
如今这次游览终于得以实现平素的愿望，
何况还有这如上古乐官夔般珍贵的古老文字。
我环绕着山岩沟壑，寻访着名胜古迹，
久久站立，用手抚摸石刻，沉浸其中。
山野间的僧人似懂非懂地明白我的心意，
笑着斟满一杯酒，举杯相邀共饮。

A solitary peak at Wu Creek pierces the sky, reaching the clouds high,
Upon it stands the Tablet of Restoration from the glorious Tang Dynasty.
Emperor Suzong's deeds shine with ever more radiant majesty,
While Cishan's inscription reveals a truly rugged, singular artistry.
I once governed this prefecture, bound to my post for two full years,
Tethered by official duties like a horse constrained by reins and fears.
So close to this famed mountain, yet I could not make my way there,
Leaving a constant regret, a feeling that something was missing, laid bare.
Now this journey fulfills at last my long-cherished desire so true,
Especially with this ancient script, a treasure rare and old as a mythic Kui.
I wander round the cliffs and gullies, seeking traces of the sublime,
Standing long, caressing the stone carvings, lost in the flow of time.
A rustic monk, half understanding the thoughts in my heart,
Fills my cup with a smile, offering a toast as we part.
