狭窄的小径依然荒芜，也还没有干透。
荆棘的尖刺迫近行人，只得牢牢闭眼；
泥泞的道路上马匹颠簸，需紧紧扶住马鞍。
茶山一带是盗贼聚集之地，路途险恶；
麦垄边的人家，却让人心怀宽慰。
挑担的仆役和擡轿的轿夫都已精疲力尽；
我这生病的老翁，哪能再勉强加餐进食。

Leaving the boat for land, the journey grows more arduous;
The narrow path remains both wild and not yet dry.
The thorny branches press close, forcing eyes shut tight;
Through muddy tracks, the stumbling horse clings to the saddle.
Tea Mountain, a thieves' den, makes the road harsh and long;
Wheat-ridge homes offer a moment's peace and open heart.
Porters and cart drivers are all exhausted and worn;
How can this ailing old man bear to eat yet more?
