愿闻胚浑甚深义,定自能令一座倾。

近来闭口不言,想要像画一样挂在壁上,
欲言又止,害怕客人,反倒显得可怜。
你难道没看见东家的玉壶本是兄弟,
敲击它们尚且能发出清晰的话语。
我愿听闻那宇宙本源极其深奥的意义,
必定能让满座的人都为之倾倒。
A gentleman follows the middle path,
Often found between speech and silence.
Too much talk surely wastes one's breath,
Yet staying silent is also a trial.
This old man's body is like Zheng Wenyuan's,
Eloquent as a waterfall, thoughts like a spring.
Lately he seals his lips, wishing to hang on the wall,
Hesitating, fearing guests—how pitiable he seems.
Have you not seen the jade pots of the east house, brothers by nature,
When tapped, they still speak clearly and distinctly.
I long to hear the profound meaning of the primordial chaos,
Surely it can make the whole assembly marvel.
言语治理关乎个人修养与处世智慧。
阐述君子处世之道,贵在言语沉默间把握中庸。
