莺啼花开，箫鼓齐鸣，身着绮罗的人群熙熙攘攘，
人们就生活在这熙和安乐的境界之中。
三次登楼，歌颂这太平盛世的光辉岁月，
一览湖山美景，沉醉在春风里。
湖水摇荡，打湿了层层楼阁的青红彩绘，
云雾锁住了高耸的阶梯，昔日的粉黛佳人已不见踪影。
十里平坦之地都被这楼阁的景象所掩尽，
可有谁还记得当初建造此楼的功劳呢？

Amid the orioles, flowers, flutes, and drums, a silken throng,
People dwell within a realm of harmony and peace.
Three times ascending, we sing praises to the sun's bright song,
A glance at lake and hill, drunk on the spring breeze's release.
Water ripples, staining the layered eaves in green and red,
Clouds lock the perilous stairs, where painted beauty has fled.
Ten li of level land are all concealed from sight,
Who now recalls the labor of building this tower's height?
