那美人（指荷）立于秋江之上，
以托身尘埃为耻。
她含笑倾倒了行雨的国度（巫山神女），
香气唤回了梦兰的幽魂（郑穆公母梦兰生子）。
蝴蝶没有媒人（却自来），
鸳鸯已见子孙（成双成对）。
（我）四处窥看，思念着那双桨（以便乘舟接近），
（她却）深锁（于水），令人忆起重门深院。
（我）生性怯懦，畏惧风波，
惭愧（只能）留下月露般的痕迹（指诗篇）。
枉费以金莲试步（模仿潘妃），
千古以来怨恨着那昏聩的东昏侯。

Ashamed to take root in the dusty place.
She smiles, tilting the kingdom of raining grace,
Her fragrance returns, a dream orchid's trace.
Butterflies, without matchmakers, flutter near,
Mandarin ducks, with offspring, appear.
Peeping everywhere, I long for a pair of oars,
Deeply locked, I recall the double doors.
Timid by nature, I fear the wind and wave,
Ashamed to leave traces of moon and dew, so grave.
In vain, I tried gold to test my pace,
For ages, I lament the Eastern Folly's disgrace.
