青绿的枳壳，怜惜它与橘的同源之气；
黄澄澄的橙子，与我共处故乡。
它们包裹的果实足以担负水土的滋养，
它们的果实可爱，能经受风霜。
天赐宴席，交错的枝干显出奇异；
君门之前，并蒂的果实呈现吉祥。
湘地之人从不菲薄轻陋，
曾以此果进献给上古的陶唐。

Green trifoliate, kin in spirit I hold dear;
Yellow oranges share my homeland's air.
Their wrapped bundles bear the soil's full worth,
Their fruits endure the frost, beyond compare.
Heaven's feast grants intertwin'd branches rare,

People of Xiang, not crude or mean, of yore
Used them as tribute in sage Yao's era fair.
