放眼望去，山色愈发青碧。
乘着腰舆，步履行进转向高处。
并不怀疑自己正抵御着山精鬼怪，
反而自嘲如同治理鼯鼠猿猴的官员。
走到路途尽头，道路曲折再三。
衰老之年，感叹头发已斑白。
虽然次山（元结）也只是漫然为官，
但我怎敢就轻易推辞劳苦呢？

The vista: mountains ever more emerald green.
In a sedan chair, my steps turn ever higher.
No doubt I face mountain demons, yet I laugh—
At myself, a magistrate among flying squirrels and macaques.
At road's end, the path twists thrice over.
In declining years, I feel my hair turning gray.
Though Ci Shan held but a minor post,
How dare I hastily decline this toil?
