君不见解空宴坐寂无侣,宝花忽尔窥岩户。
已将精进耸人天,是用色相旌其苦。
又不见毗耶居士坐高堂,四落天花趁挥麈。
若人犹有空可谈,真机何处遁天女。
丰岩寂寂梵王家,谁把幽岩名雨花。
我知此诚齐人耳,但识解空与毗耶。
谁知丰岩了无取,口角澜翻初不语。
吾宗未出天莫窥,岂复有花可为雨。

您难道没有见过那位悟空的高僧,静坐禅修,没有伴侣,寂静无声吗?
珍贵的花朵忽然从他的岩洞口窥探进来。
他精进修行的心志早已让人与天神都感到震撼;
因此,这显现的色相景象,是为了表彰他苦修的艰辛。
您难道也没有见过毗耶离城的那位居士,坐在高高的讲堂上,
天花四处飘落,随着他挥动麈尾而纷飞吗?
如果这样的人还有“空”理可以谈论,
那真正的玄机又能向何处躲藏,避开天女的诘问?
丰岩寂静无声,是梵行修行者的家——
是谁把这幽深的山岩命名为“雨花”呢?
我知道这故事不过是说给常人听的比喻,
他们只认得“解空”僧人和“毗耶”居士的名字罢了。
有谁明白丰岩本身并无一物可取著?
纵然口若悬河,它却始终默然不语。
我宗门派的真谛,在未显露时,连上天也无法窥见——
哪里还会有什么花朵,能化作雨点落下呢?
Have you not seen the master of Emptiness, sitting in meditation, companionless and still?
When precious flowers suddenly peeked through the rocky door of his cave.
His spiritual vigor had already awed both men and gods;
Thus, this colorful vision was a sign to honor his ascetic toil.
Have you not also seen the layman of Vaiśālī, seated in his lofty hall,
As flowers fell in all directions, stirred by his waving duster?
If such a man still had Emptiness to discuss,
Where could the true essence hide from the heavenly maiden's test?
Fengyan, so silent, is the abode of a Brahmin sage—
Who then named this secluded cliff 'Rain of Flowers'?
I know this tale is but a parable for common minds,
Who only grasp the names 'Master of Emptiness' and 'Layman of Vaiśālī'.
Who realizes that Fengyan itself holds nothing to be grasped?
With lips that could stir waves, it remains utterly silent.
Our lineage's truth, before emerging, heaven cannot spy—
How then could there be any flowers left to fall as rain?
