万物之中也有仁德的存在，
蚕的功绩真是无法估量。
它甘愿将自己的身躯投入沸鼎之中，
为世间制作出衣裳。
爬过蚕架时，仿佛被苍茫的湿云浸润，
登上桑山时，吐出的雪白丝絮散发着清香。
不知它是否与龙种相似，
却还是被马群所妨碍。

Among creatures, some are benevolent indeed,
The silkworm's merit is beyond all measure.
It offers its body to the boiling pot's need,
And for the world weaves raiment, a precious treasure.
Traversing the racks, moistened by dark clouds' breath,
Climbing the mount, its snow-white silk smells sweet.
Whether it rivals the dragon's seed in death,
It still finds hindrance among the horse's fleet.
