在厚重的被褥中，我被骤然降临的寒冷惊醒，
望见万千屋瓦上凝结着浓重的寒霜。
两岸的芦苇已是一片洁白，
空寂的庭院里，橘树和柚树的果实泛着金黄。
为官的心思如今真是淡泊了，
一年将尽，周遭的景象更显荒凉。
荒野寺庙的钟声早早敲响，
是谁的仆从与马匹如此匆忙？

I see thick frost covering countless tiles.
Reeds along the banks have turned all white,
While oranges and pomelos yellow in the empty courtyard.
My official aspirations have truly grown indifferent,

Whose servant and horse are in such haste?
