身为闲冷官职的人适宜静坐，
借住的屋子靠近荒僻的村落。
没有酒可以招待客人，
天还没黑就先把门关上。
水面明亮，知道月亮已经升起，
树叶凋落，更显出梅树的孤高。
满眼都是凄凉萧瑟的景象，
彼此相逢，也不必多说什幺了。

Borrowing a house near a desolate village.
No wine to entertain a guest,
I close the gate before dusk falls.
The water brightens as the moon climbs,
Leaves fall, revealing the plum's noble stance.
All that meets the eye is desolate and drear—
