燕子呢喃，好像在庆贺筑巢的屋厦；
鸿雁嘹唳，逐渐降落在水中的石磐。
它们依恋主人，喜爱江南的温暖；
作为来宾，却要忍受塞北的严寒。
世态的炎凉总在交替变化；
它们的去留却毫无阻滞与为难。
请不要嫌弃乌鹊的喧闹鸣叫——
它每天早晨都只是停在你屋檐的一端。

Swallows chirp, congratulating the house they nest upon;
Wild geese cry, gradually alighting on the rocky stone.
Loyal to the master, they love the warmth south of the stream;
Guests from afar, they brave the cold north of the frontier extreme.
Heat and coolness alternate in constant change and turn;
Coming and going, they meet no hindrance, no concern.
Do not resent the magpie's noisy, chattering call—
Each morning it just perches atop your roof and wall.
